Recirculation is forced through a pumping ring in the gland box, through the cooler and back to this gland box. This system is used with contaminated or special liquids at high temperatures in order to minimize the thermal load of the cooler through cooling only a small amount of liquid being in circulation.

Standard flushing and auxiliary equipment systems presented above are the systems most often used in industry. The equipment presented here is the necessary minimum option and, after agreements made with the user, the systems below can be extended increasing their functionality.
Drawing on the left (A) shows diagrammatic arrangement of conduits and instrumentation, while the drawing on the right (B) shows the most important details of the stuffing box (the seal chamber).
